Panasonic KX-TGP600 (Base)

This base station is compatible with the Panasonic KX-TPA60, KX-UDT121, KX-UDT131 cordless handsets, and the KX-TPA65 wireless desk phone.

Quick Start

You do not need to dial any numerical prefix before dialing an extension or external number. Simply dial the extension or 10 digit number.

Pair Your Handset(s)

Up to six wireless devices can be paired with the base station.

1. On the base station, press and hold the  key until the LED light flashes red.

2. On the handset, press and hold the OK softkey. The handset will then register.

Tip: Outbound calls can be made from any line assigned to the base station by pressing the Lines softkey on the handset.

Assign a Line to Your Handset(s)

Each handset that is paired with this base station can be assigned a unique line.

Step 1: Add Lines to the Base Station

1. From the admin portal, click Devices in the left sidebar.

2. Click the Panasonic KX-TGP600 that requires additional lines.

3. From the Button Configuration tab, select LINE and then choose the desired line.

4. Repeat step 3 for each additional line.

5. Click [SAVE].

Note: You must power cycle the base station to apply any changes made to its settings.

Step 2: Enable Embedded Web

1. On the handset, press the MENU softkey.

2. Select Setting Handset > Other Option > Embedded web.

3. Turn on Embedded web.

4. Press the OK softkey.

Step 3: Assign a Line to Each Handset

1. On the handset, press the MENU softkey.

2. Select System Settings > Status > IPv4 Settings > IP Address and then write down the phone’s IP Address.

3. Open an incognito window in Google Chrome, type the IP address into the address (URL) bar, and then press Enter on your keyboard.

Note: If the web UI does not load, enter https:// before the phone’s IP address.

4. Log in with: Username = admin and Password = adminpass.

Note: If this password is not accepted, contact Customer Support for assistance.

5. From the System tab > System Settings, click Yes for Enable Multi Number.

6. Click [Save].

7. From the Telephone tab > Multi Number Settings, assign a Handset No. to each Phone Number. This will be the line used for inbound calls.

8. Assign a Line No. to each Handset No. This will be the line used for outbound calls.

9. Click [Save].

Note: You must power cycle the base station to apply any changes made to its settings.

Call Forwarding

1. Press the FUNC key.

2. Select Fwd/DND.

3. Turn On the desired forwarding type.

  • All: Forwards all incoming calls.
  • NA: Forwards all unanswered incoming calls.
  • Busy: Forwards calls that arrive when you’re already in a call.

4. Enter the internal extension or external number to which calls will be forwarded.

5. If you selected NA, enter how many rings to wait before forwarding.

6. Press the OK softkey.

Do Not Disturb (DND)

Enabling DND stops your phone from ringing and sends all incoming calls directly to voicemail. Calls are not logged in your Missed Calls.

1. Press the FUNC key.

2. Select Fwd/DND > DND.

3. Select On.

4. Press the OK softkey.

Voicemail Access

1. Press and hold the HOLD/MSG key.

2. Dial your password (default 0000).

Speed Dial

This feature is not supported on this device.

3-Way Calls

1. While on an active call, press the HOLD/MSG key.

2. Dial the internal extension or external number to add to the conference.

3. Wait for the second party to answer, and then let them know that you would like to add them to a 3-way call.

4. Press the CONF softkey.

Warm Transfer

Places a current call on hold and allows you to speak with the other party before transferring the call to them.

1. While on an active call, press the XFER/CLR key.

2. Dial the internal extension or external number.

3. Speak with the destination party.

4. Press the Transfer softkey.

Blind Transfer

A blind transfer routes a call to another party without speaking to them first.

1. While on an active call, press the BLIND softkey.

2. Dial the internal extension or external number.

Tip: To transfer a call directly to voicemail, dial 0 + extension.

Hold

1. Press the HOLD/MSG key.

2. Press HOLD/MSG to retrieve the call.

Modify Ringtone

1. Press the FUNC key.

2. Select Incoming Option > Ringer Type.

3. If there are multiple lines assigned to the device, select the line you wish to modify.

4. Select the desired ringtone (highlight to sample ringtones).

5. Press the OK softkey.

Note: This device supports silent ringtones.

Presence Monitoring

The device does not support this feature.

Before you begin:

  1. Verify a device profile has been created.
  2. Verify the phone’s MAC address has been assigned to the device profile.

Register Your Handset

1. From the base unit, hold the Handset Locator button down for 5 seconds.

2. Next, hold the OK softkey on the handset until it reads “Registered”.

Note: To deregister your handset, select System Settings > Cancel Register > OK.

Provisioning Steps

1. Press MENU.

2. Select Setting Handset > Other Option > Embedded web.

3. Turn off Embedded web and then press the OK softkey.

4. Turn on Embedded web and then press the OK softkey.

5. Press the Back softkey twice, select IP service, and then write down the phone’s IP Address.

6. Open an incognito window in Google Chrome, type the IP address into the address (URL) bar, and then press Enter on your keyboard.

Note: If the web UI does not load, enter https:// before the phone’s IP address.

7. Log in with: Username = admin and Password = adminpass.

8. Go to Maintenance tab > Provisioning Maintenance.

9. Define the following settings:

Standard File URL

10. Click Save > Reboot.

Note: If the phone doesn’t automatically reboot, you must power cycle the device to apply its provisioning settings.

This base station is compatible with the Panasonic KX-TPA60, KX-UDT121, KX-UDT131 cordless handsets, and the KX-TPA65 wireless desk phone.

4. Log in with: Username = admin and Password = adminpass.

5. From the System tab > System Settings, click Yes for Enable Multi Number.

6. Click [Save].

7. From the Telephone tab > Multi Number Settings, assign a Handset No. to each Phone Number. This will be the line used for inbound calls.

8. Assign a Line No. to each Handset No. This will be the line used for outbound calls.

9. Click [Save].

Call Forwarding

1. Press the FUNCTION key.

2. Select Fwd/DND.

3. Turn On the desired forwarding type.

  • All: Forwards all incoming calls.
  • NA: Forwards all unanswered incoming calls.
  • Busy: Forwards calls that arrive when you’re already in a call.

5. Enter the internal extension or external number to which calls will be forwarded.

6. If you selected NA, enter how many rings to wait before forwarding.

7. Press the OK softkey.

Do Not Disturb (DND)

Enabling DND stops your phone from ringing and sends all incoming calls directly to voicemail. Calls are not logged in your Missed Calls.

1. Press the FUNCTION key.

2. Select Fwd/DND > DND.

3. Select On.

4. Press the OK softkey.

Voicemail Access

1. Press and hold the MESSAGE key.

2. Dial your password (default 0000).

Speed Dial

This feature is not supported on this device.

3-Way Calls

1. While on an active call, press the HOLD/MSG key.

2. Dial the internal extension or external number to add to the conference.

3. Wait for the second party to answer, and then let them know that you would like to add them to a 3-way call.

4. Press the CONF softkey.

Warm Transfer

Places a current call on hold and allows you to speak with the other party before transferring the call to them.

1. While on an active call, press XFER/CLR.

2. Dial the internal extension or external number.

3. Speak with the destination party.

Blind Transfer

4. Select the desired ringtone (highlight to sample ringtones).

5. Press the OK softkey.

Note: This device supports silent ringtones.

Presence Monitoring

The device does not support this feature.
