Panasonic KX-TGP500 (Base)

This base station is compatible with the Panasonic KX-TPA50 cordless handset.

You do not need to dial any numerical prefix before dialing an extension or external number. Simply dial the extension or 10 digit number.

Pair Your Handset(s)

Up to six handsets can be paired with this base station.

1. On the handset, press the MENU softkey.

2. Select Initial Settings > Registration > Register Handset > OK.

3. On the base station, hold the ALL key for four seconds. The handset will then register.

Tip: Outbound calls can be made from any line assigned to the base station by pressing the LINE softkey on the cordless handset.

Assign a Line to Your Handset(s)

Each handset that is paired with the base station can be assigned a unique line.

Step 1: Add Lines to the Base Station

1. From the admin portal, click Devices in the left sidebar.

2. Click the Panasonic KX-TGP500 that requires additional lines.

3. From the Button Configuration tab, select LINE and then choose the desired line.

4. Repeat step 3 for each additional line.

5. Click [SAVE].

Note: You must power cycle the base station to apply any changes made to its settings.

Step 2: Enable Embedded Web

1. On the handset, press the MENU softkey.

2. Select IP service> Network settingEmbedded web.

3. Turn on Embedded web.

4. Press the SAVE softkey.

Step 3: Assign a Line to Each Handset

1. On the handset, press the MENU softkey.

2. Select IP Service > Network setting > IP settings and then write down the phone’s IP Address.

3. Open an incognito window in Google Chrome, type the IP address into the address (URL) bar, and then press Enter on your keyboard.

Note: If the web UI does not load, enter https:// before the phone’s IP address.

4. Log in with: Username = admin and Password = adminpass.

Note: If this password is not accepted, contact Customer Support for assistance.

5. From the Telephone tab, assign a Handset No. to each Phone Number. This will be the line used for inbound calls.

6. Assign a Line No. to each Handset No. This will be the line used for outbound calls.

7. Click [Save].

Note: You must power cycle the base station to apply any changes made to its settings.

Call Forwarding

1. Press the MENU.

2. Select IP service > Call features > Call forward.

3. Select the desired line.

4. Turn On the desired forwarding type.

  • Unconditional: Forwards all incoming calls.
  • No Answer: Forwards all unanswered incoming calls.
  • Busy: Forwards calls that arrive when you’re already in a call.

5. Enter the internal extension or external number to which calls will be forwarded.

6. If you selected No Answer, enter how many rings to wait before forwarding.

7. Press the SAVE softkey (to disable call forwarding, turn Off the forwarding type).

Do Not Disturb (DND)

Enabling DND stops your phone from ringing and sends all incoming calls directly to voicemail. Calls are not logged in your Missed Calls.

1. Press MENU.

2. Select IP service > Call features > Do not disturb.

3. Select the desired line.

4. Use the joystick to toggle DND On/Off.

5. Select SAVE.

Voicemail Access

1. Dial *99.

2. Dial your password (default 0000).

Speed Dial

This feature is not supported on this device.

3-Way Calls

1. While on an active call, press MENU.

2. Select Conference.

3. Dial the internal extension or external number to add to the conference.

4. Wait for the second party to answer, and then let them know that you would like to add them to a 3-way call.

5. Press the CONF softkey.

Warm Transfer

Places a current call on hold and allows you to speak with the other party before transferring the call to them.

1. While on an active call, press MENU.

2. Select Transfer.

3. Dial the internal extension or external number.

4. Speak with the destination party.

5. Press TRANS softkey.

Blind Transfer

A blind transfer routes a call to another party without speaking to them first.

1. While on an active call, press MENU.

2. Blind Transfer.

3. Dial the internal extension or external number.

Tip: To transfer a call directly to voicemail, dial 0 + extension.

Hold

Watch Video

1. Press the HOLD softkey.

2. Press the HOLD softkey again to retrieve the call.

Modify Ringtone

1. Press the MENU key.

2. Select Initial settings > Ringer settings > Ringer tone.

3. If there are multiple lines assigned to the device, select the line you wish to modify.

4. Select the desired ringtone (highlight to sample ringtones).

5. Select SAVE.

Note: This device supports silent ringtones.

Presence Monitoring

The device does not support this feature.

Before you begin:

  1. Verify a device profile has been created.
  2. Verify the phone’s MAC address has been assigned to the device profile.

1. Press MENU.

2. Select IP serviceNetwork setting > Embedded web.

3. Turn off Embedded web and then press the SAVE softkey.

4. Turn on Embedded web and then press the SAVE softkey.

5. Press the Back softkey, select IP service, and then write down the phone’s IP Address.

6. Open an incognito window in Google Chrome, type the IP address into the address (URL) bar, and then press Enter on your keyboard.

8. Go to Maintenance tab > Provisioning Maintenance.

9. Define the following settings:

10. Click Save > Reboot.

Note: If the phone doesn’t automatically reboot, you must power cycle the device to apply its provisioning settings.
