If you’re an avid Slack user, you probably live in Slack all day. Jive’s bot will only give you another reason to never leave. Now from Slack you can log in and out of call queues, see which agents are servicing specific queues, and create queue groups for bulk actions. If you need to step away, you can tell Jive's bot that you need to ‘take a break’ and he’ll automatically log you out of all queues until you let him know you’re back.

Permissions Required

In order to install Jive’s Slack bot, you must have permissions on your Slack workspace (usually a Workspace Admin).

1. Click here to find the Jive bot in the Slack App Directory.

2. Sign in to Slack.

3. Click [Install].

4. Click [Authorize].

Connect to Jive's bot

1. Open Slack.

2. Click [+] in Direct Messages.

3. Search for “jive”.

4. Click Jive bot.

5. Click [GO].

6. Enter “/jive connect” to connect your Slack and Jive identities.

7. Click [Connect Jive Account].

8. Click [LINK ACCOUNTS] in the Jive Bot section on the integration dashboard.

Commands

You can send various commands to Jive's bot to perform specific actions (e.g. “I need a break”). At anytime, you can always ask Jive's bot for “help” to list out all the commands available to you.

List voicemails

Shows you a list of voicemails. You can delete the voicemails by saying “delete #”.

Voicemail unsubscribe

Turn off voicemail notifications.

Shows you available extensions.

Create group ‹name›

Replace ‹name› with the desired group name.

Creates a new call queue group. This allows agents to log in and out of multiple call queues at once.

List my groups

Shows you all of the call queue groups.

Add queues ####, #### to group ‹name›

Replace #### with the call queue extension(s) and ‹name› with the desired group name.

Adds a call queue(s) to a call queue group.

Delete group ‹name›

Replace ‹name› with the desired group name.

Deletes a call queue group.
