Many phone models can support multiple lines. Meaning, they can have more than one extension that rings their phone. This could be helpful to small business owners who wear multiple hats and need to field various types of calls (e.g. Billing and Sales). To help these individuals keep their calls straight, multiple lines can be added to their phone so that depending on which line rings, they’ll know how to answer appropriately. As needed, lines can be added or removed on the fly to meet specific needs.

Add a Line to a Device

1. Click Devices in the left sidebar.

2. Click the device that requires an additional line key assignment.

3. From the Button Configuration tab, select LINE and then choose the desired extension.

4. Edit the button label (optional).

Note: The button label overrides the line name

5. Click [SAVE].

Note: You must power cycle the device to apply any changes made to its settings.

Remove a Line from a Device

Device Requirements

All devices must have a user profile and at least one line assignment in order to provision and/or maintain registration.

1. Click Devices in the left sidebar.

2. Click the device that needs a line key assignment removed.

3. From the Button Configuration tab, click [X] next to the line or change the line type to NOT CONFIGURED.

4. Click [SAVE].

Note: You must power cycle the device to apply any changes made to its settings.
