Bridgerland Applied Technical College (BATC) provides competency and employer-based education to students in the northern Utah area through both traditional and technology-enhanced, hands-on methodologies. The college’s goal is to provide technological training for adults seeking entry level positions in industry, and is unique in its individualized learning and teaching model.

BATC’s legacy phone system had grown so outdated that it could no longer be maintained. BATC knew it had to decide between a major upgrade of the existing system or the implementation of a new system altogether. Jive’s intuitive system required no hands-on maintenance, a factor that helped BATC decide that upgrading to a hosted system was the way to go. The transition went smoothly and quickly with plug-and-play phones. Jive installed the new phone sets before shutting down the old system, keeping the school’s lines of communication open at all times.
